Governance & Accountability
3. Publisher Governance and Editorial Independence

The Institute of Advanced Technology and Green Innovation (INATGI) provides the publishing, administrative, technical, production, and digital infrastructure required for the operation of JAIAA.

Academic editorial authority is exercised independently from the publisher's administrative and financial functions. Manuscript decisions are based on scholarly considerations, including relevance to the journal's scope, originality, methodological quality, research integrity, and peer-review outcomes.

Editorial Independence

Article processing charges, institutional relationships, sponsorship, commercial considerations, or other non-academic factors do not determine whether a manuscript is accepted, revised, or rejected.

Editorial Safeguards
  • The Editor-in-Chief has primary responsibility for the academic direction of the journal and final editorial decisions.
  • Handling editors and reviewers are selected on the basis of appropriate academic or professional expertise.
  • Editors must recuse themselves from manuscripts where a relevant personal, professional, financial, institutional, supervisory, collaborative, competitive, or other conflict of interest exists.
  • Where an editorial conflict arises, responsibility for the manuscript or case is transferred to an independent editor or another appropriately qualified editorial representative.
  • The publisher does not override editorial decisions made through the journal's established editorial and peer-review procedures.
Governance and Transparency Safeguards

To protect the integrity and independence of its publishing activities, the publisher:

  • does not sell editorial board positions or editorial appointments;
  • does not engage in third-party manuscript brokering or guarantee publication outcomes;
  • does not require authors to cite particular publications for non-scholarly purposes;
  • does not permit publication fees to influence editorial assessment or acceptance decisions;
  • maintains journal policies relating to peer review, publication ethics, research integrity, complaints and appeals, corrections and retractions, open access, publication charges, and digital preservation;
  • supports the maintenance of accurate journal metadata and the integrity of the published scholarly record.
Academic Decision-Making

Academic decisions remain the responsibility of the Editor-in-Chief and authorized editors acting under the journal's published editorial and peer-review policies. Administrative, technical, production, or financial support provided by the publisher does not confer authority to alter scholarly decisions for commercial or other non-academic reasons.

Transparency principle: JAIAA distinguishes publishing administration from academic editorial authority in order to support independent peer review, accountable editorial decision-making, transparent publication practices, and the integrity of the scholarly record.
