Manuscripts must be submitted through the journal's online submission system. JAIAA operates a double-blind peer-review process; therefore, the manuscript submitted for peer review must not contain information that directly identifies the authors.
Authors should prepare the following submission materials where applicable:
- a cover letter;
- an anonymized manuscript for peer review;
- a separate title page containing author names, affiliations, ORCID iDs where available, and corresponding author information;
- a conflict of interest declaration;
- funding information where applicable;
- ethics approval and informed consent statements where applicable;
- a Data Availability Statement where applicable; and
- an AI-use disclosure where applicable.
Manuscript Format
4. Manuscript Preparation
Manuscripts should be written in clear academic English and prepared using the official JAIAA manuscript template.
Unless otherwise specified in the current template, manuscripts should use Times New Roman, 12-point font, approximately 1.5 line spacing, and 2.5 cm margins.
A standard Research Article will normally include:
- Title
- Abstract of approximately 150–250 words
- 3–6 keywords
- Introduction
- Literature Review or Background
- Methodology / Materials and Methods
- Results
- Discussion
- Conclusion
- Declarations and required statements
- References
The structure may be adapted where appropriate for Review Articles, Short Communications, Case Studies, software-oriented studies, or other manuscript types, provided that the organization is academically clear and suitable for the research design.

5. Referencing Style
JAIAA follows the APA referencing style. References must be complete, accurate, and consistently formatted. Authors should provide Digital Object Identifiers (DOIs) whenever available and independently verify all bibliographic information before submission.
Visual Materials
6. Figures and Tables
Figures and tables must be numbered sequentially and cited in the manuscript text. Titles and captions should clearly describe the content presented.
Images should be of sufficient quality for publication. High-resolution source files of approximately 300 dpi or higher should be supplied where required.
Authors are responsible for obtaining permission to reproduce copyrighted figures, tables, images, or other third-party materials and must provide appropriate attribution.
Research Integrity
7. Ethical Responsibilities
Authors are responsible for ensuring the originality, accuracy, integrity, and ethical conduct of their research. Sources must be appropriately acknowledged, and all relevant financial, professional, institutional, or personal conflicts of interest must be disclosed.
Research involving human participants, identifiable personal information, animals, or other activities requiring ethical oversight must comply with applicable institutional, national, and international requirements. Where applicable, the manuscript should identify the approving ethics committee or institutional review body and provide relevant approval information.
Responsible AI Use
8. AI and Generative AI Disclosure
JAIAA permits the responsible use of artificial intelligence and generative AI tools for appropriate research-support activities, including language refinement, editing, coding assistance, data processing, analytical support, and visualization.
Material use of AI or generative AI tools must be appropriately disclosed. Authors should identify the tool used and explain how it contributed to manuscript preparation, coding, analysis, visualization, or other research activities where such use materially affected the work.
AI tools cannot be listed as authors or co-authors. Authorship requires accountability for the work and responsibility for the integrity of the scholarly record.
Authors remain fully responsible for all submitted content, including the accuracy, originality, references, quotations, data, analyses, software outputs, interpretations, and conclusions of AI-assisted work. All AI-generated or AI-assisted outputs must be independently reviewed and verified by the authors.
Prohibited AI Use
AI or generative AI tools must not be used to fabricate or falsify research data, references, DOIs, quotations, participants, experiments, images, analytical outputs, results, peer-review reports, reviewer identities, or other scholarly evidence. AI must not be used to conceal plagiarism, duplicate publication, data manipulation, or other forms of research misconduct.
Originality
9. Plagiarism and Research Integrity Screening
Submitted manuscripts may be screened using similarity-detection tools and may be subject to additional editorial checks where research-integrity concerns arise.
Plagiarism, duplicate or redundant publication, simultaneous submission, data fabrication, data falsification, inappropriate image manipulation, citation manipulation, peer-review manipulation, and other forms of publication misconduct are prohibited.
Editorial Evaluation
10. Peer Review Process
JAIAA operates a double-blind peer-review system. The identities of authors and reviewers are concealed from each other during peer review.
Manuscripts that pass the initial editorial assessment are normally evaluated by at least two independent reviewers with relevant subject expertise.
Editorial decisions may include acceptance, minor revision, major revision, or rejection. The final editorial decision remains the responsibility of the journal's editors.
